Love is, above all else, the gift of oneself
Jean Anouith
Bringing the ceremony together – you, the words, the music, the symbols Your Wedding Day is one of the most important days in your life and the Wedding Ceremony is the highlight of your day - without the Ceremony there would be no Wedding. Whether you are interested in a short, simple, contemporary ceremony, tend towards the more traditional or want something a little more ‘off’-beat’ I am happy to accommodate. I have sample ceremonies, quotes and readings catering for all tastes and styles and I can work with you to create a ceremony that feels right for you.
This magical moment in time brings together the love you share with one another, your families, your varied backgrounds and your dreams for a lifetime as life-partners, as husband and wife. My aim is to do all in my power to make your day personal, stylish and memorable and together we can design and plan a ceremony that will be unique to you both. The content is your choice. When we meet we discuss the kind of ceremony you envisage – the setting, the words, the music and the readings etc., I work with you to arrive at a ceremony that reflects your wishes. There are many varied ceremonies available, ranging from traditional, mixed religions where a celebrant fuses parts of each partners beliefs, into a ceremony that brings meanings and respect of the others culture. I especially enjoy having children being involved in the ceremony where either the Bride & Groom have been married before or have a child prior to the wedding day. You may like to choose words for the asking, the vows and exchange of rings or you may like to write your own. The wording may be secular yet spiritual and you may wish to include some religious aspects in your ceremony. In addition, you may like to consider other rituals like: · A candle ceremony · A hand fasting ceremony · Celtic traditions · A rose ceremony · A sharing of wine ceremony · Other actions which may have special significance for you and your families What kind of ceremony and where? You can have whatever kind of ceremony you wish – it is your day. You may wish to have it formal, casual, traditional or with some special theme that reflects your personalities and interests. You may choose a small, intimate ceremony, a large formal function or anything in between. You may choose the location – a chapel, a function centre, a garden, the beach or a place that has special meaning for you – if it is outdoors, I would advise having Plan B available just in case of inclement weather!
